Oder auch Road Trip, mit Betonung auf Trip… Was NILU hier auffährt ist jedenfalls großes Kopfkino: Ein bildgewaltiger B-Movie mit staubig-surrealer Wüstenästhetik und Andeutungen eines verwegenen Neo Westerns. Sascha Cawa erzählt die eskalierenden Ereignisse aus seiner Perspektive nach: Das verschachtelte Groove-Drama schwingt sich dabei ähnlich fulminant auf, nimmt dabei aber viele unvorhersehbare Wendungen. Die geheimnisvollen, nicht unbedingt menschlichen Pyramiden-Muster, die aus der Melodie von Unicum leuchten, führen uns in noch deepere, warme und dunkle Dancefloor-Welten. Wie gemacht, um diese Soundtrack-Vibes abzurunden: Ein WOODKIN Remix von Impulse, ein NILU Track, der schon vor einer Weile auf 3000Grad erschien. Die abgedeckelt-coole Schubkraft greift die energetische Grundthematik der EP perfekt auf, der Gesang leitet im Kopfkino eine weitere epische Schlüsselszene ein.

To be more precise: A stylish b-movie full of dusty, surreal desert optics and nods towards a neo western atmosphere. Sascha Cawa reports the escalating plot from his own perspective: The multi-layered drama of the groove builds and morphs in an equally compelling flow, but there’s quite a few new, unexpected turns and twists in here. The enigmatic, shape-shifting pyramid patterns that glow inside the melodies of Unicum lead us into even deeper, dark and warm soundscapes. Rounding off these soundtrack vibes just perfectly: A WOODKIN remix of Impulse, a NILU tune that was released on 3000Grad earlier already. The mighty forward thrust of this version fits perfectly into the primal energy of this EP, the vocal adds another cinematic touch as if introducing a crucial scene.
